Storycasters Music and Podcast producer Sarah Mendoza speaks to Annie Brockenhuus-Schack, an emerging producer based in Western Sydney, about her pitch for a documentary that will not only delve into plants, but also her Filipino heritage.

With the working title ‘Plant Titas’ Annie hopes to explore gardening, her relationship with her mum, and what it means to be connected to one’s culture.

Sarah Mendoza is an electronic musician and emerging creative based in Western Sydney (who also goes by Kintessence). She experiments with audio poetry, field recordings, and samples from her favorite media, packaging them into chill tunes. Her tracks deal with identity and nostalgia, aimlessly and curiously reflecting on life. She’s never really had formal music education but has always been DIY at heart. She joined the New Age Noise program at I.C.E. and has been making music ever since. When she’s not doing that, she’s daydreaming away to an inner universe. Or learning about others’ craft.
