Harpreet is a proud Punjabi, born and living on Wallumedegal country. She is a passionate action-orientated advocate, paradigm breaker, and leader. Harpreet was an Australian Delegate at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York for three consecutive years. She is the President of the Macquarie University Women’s Collective, Youth Ambassador for Multicultural Youth Advocacy Network, Australian Student Environment Network Community Organiser, Treasurer of the Board of Directors, and Australia’s member of Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Rights. Harpreet is a survivor of family violence, sexual violence, alcohol addiction, and secondary homelessness. She is the first female in her family to finish high school and go to university. She is committed to breaking the taboo, shame, stigma, and silence that surrounds social issues that thus barricade addressing them.
