Natalia Figueroa Barroso

Natalia Figueroa Barroso is a Uruguayan-Australian writer from Penrith. She is a member of Sweatshop Literacy Movement and has degrees in Communication and Media from the University of Technology, Sydney. Natalia’s poem, Anew, was shortlisted for the 2015 Lane Cove Literary Award. Her screenplay, Roots, was selected by CuriousWorks, Screen Australia and Create NSW for the 2018 Breakthrough Emerging Screenwriter Development. Natalia's writing has appeared in Sweatshop Women: Volume One and Racism: Stories on Fear, Hate & Bigotry.
